COVID-19 Update
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to impact our community, AMHA, Building for Tomorrow and Resident Services has taken extra precautionary measures to ensure the well-being of our residents and staff. Despite significant changes to the way we deliver our services, we are still working each day to provide critical support to those we serve. During these challenging times, AMHA immediately partnered with 12 local organizations to provide residents with food and supplies. Since March 17th, over 220 distributions were held at 29 AMHA locations. In addition, AMHA team members delivered supplies directly to resident’s homes. Distributed supplies include meals and food bags, packs diapers, hygiene products, hand sanitizer, and other essential items. Additionally, AMHA provided over 2,050 face masks for senior residents. A special thank you to Council of Large Public Housing Authorities. Because of our partnership and their generosity, another 9,000 face masks will be distributed to individuals and families over the coming weeks. AMHA would like to thank all of our community partners and volunteers for their support to ensure our residents have equal access to food and supplies especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
