AMHA Sign Contest
Black Lives Matter Sign Contest
One of AMHA’s core values is Social and Environmental Awareness, which includes AMHA striving for social justice. For far too long, good people and good organizations have passively watched systemic racism and other atrocities that have befallen African-Americans in this country for no other reason than for the color of their skin. AMHA, like so many other organizations, is choosing to no longer be silent and take a stand. To engage our AMHA community in this process, we are holding an exciting contest for our staff, residents, and families!
Show off your artistic talent by creating a yard sign that conveys why Black Lives Matter!
Submit your art by Monday, August 31st to the attention of Darrin Toney, either in the drop box at the AMHA main office (100 W. Cedar Street) or electronically to Dtoney@akronhousing.org.
Three designs will be selected to be displayed at each of these locations:
- The AMHA Central Office
- The AMHA Service Center
- The REACH Opportunity Center
Your sign can be created by hand, on a computer, or wherever your skills lie.
We can't wait to see your submissions!
